Pittsburgh’s professional ultimate Frisbee team will play its first home game this weekend.

The Pittsburgh Thunderbirds of the professional American Ultimate Disc League will host the Indianapolis AlleyCats in their 2019 home opener Saturday at 6 p.m at J.C. Stone Field located in North Park.

In Ultimate games, two teams of seven players toss a flying disc up and down the field. Players cannot run with the disc. A point is scored when one team catches the disc in the opposing team’s end zone.

The Thunderbirds have lost their first two games of the season, both on the road to the Madison Radicals and the Minnesota Wind Chill.
