The victims have been identified in two separate fatal shootings early Saturday in Pittsburgh.

The first was reported at 12:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Murtland Avenue in Homewood, where a male was found with a gunshot to the upper body. He was transported to UPMC Presbyterian, where he died from his wounds, Pittsburgh police said in a Facebook post.

The victim was Kenneth Baptiste Jr., 27, of Pittsburgh, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said Saturday night.

In the second incident, police responded about 2:45 a.m. to a shooting in the 3000 block of Cordell Place in the Arlington neighborhood.

Police found a male victim in a hallway of an apartment building with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition and died there.

The second victim was Andre Jordan, 41, of Arlington, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call Pittsburgh police detectives at 412-323-7161.
