4 critically injured in crash in Scott Township

Four people were seriously injured late Saturday afternoon in a crash along Noblestown Road in Scott Township.

Allegheny County Police said a Ford Fiesta driven by a 47-year-old woman driving south at 4:45 p.m. on the 400 block of Noblestown Road when it crashed into stationary vehicle that was being tended to for an apparent battery issue. The driver of the stalled vehicle, a 37-year-old woman, her 70-year-old father and his 61-year-old friend were injured. Both men were outside the car at the time of the crash, according to investigators.

All four people were taken to area hospitals and listed in critical condition.

Police said the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation and the Allegheny County District Attorneys Office will be consulted to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
