Pittsburgh physician and health care analyst Lindsey Shultz, a Connellsville native, will be featured on Wednesday’s “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions telecast.
Shultz finished second to record-setting champion James Holzhauer in the quarterfinals broadcast Nov. 6. But she scored high enough among the week’s non-winning players to earn a wild card spot in the semis.
Shultz will not have to face Holzhauer in this round. She is set to compete against Francois Barcomb, an 11th-grade physics teacher from New York state, and Gilbert Collins, a university administrator from Princeton, N.J.
The show will be broadcast by WPXI on Wednesday at 7 p.m. If Shultz wins, she advances to the finals to be shown Thursday and Friday.
Shultz is a 2000 graduate of Connellsville Area High School. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004, earned a medical degree from Cornell University and underwent training in public health from Columbia University.
Earlier this year, she was a four-time winner on the top-rated trivia-based game show, earning $101,002 and an invitation to the Tournament of Champions.
