Trafford is seeking volunteers to serve on the recreation board, the planning commission and as the borough representative to the Westmoreland Heritage Trail board.

Two vacancies are open on the recreation board, which meets once a month and organizes community events such as the Easter egg hunt, fishing derby, and Halloween parade.

The planning commission, which has one vacancy, meets as needed, and prepares, recommends and reviews subdivision, residential and land development regulations.

The representative to the Westmoreland Heritage Trail board would attend monthly meetings and report back to council.

Letters of interest should be submitted to the borough at P.O. Box 196, Trafford, PA 15085, by Jan. 27. Contact the borough office at 412-372-7652 with any questions.
