A toddler was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in critical condition after falling out of a window in Penn Hills Wednesday night.

Penn Hills EMS Supervisor Diane Fitzhenry said crews were dispatched for a fall shortly after 11 p.m. along the 300 block of Tall Tree Drive.

They found a 2-year-old girl had fallen out of a two-story window onto a driveway.

Fitzhenry said the drop was between 25 and 30 feet.

Allegheny County Police were called to instigate.

Police public information officer James Madalinsky reported Thursday afternoon that detectives are investigating it as an accident, and the child is still in critical condition.
