All outbound lanes are reopened on Parkway East after a serious accident shut them down Saturday morning near the Greenfield Bridge.

The outbound lanes of I-376 had been closed between the on-ramp from Bates Street at the Oakland interchange at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel, according to PennDOT.

A spokesman reported at 9:24 a.m. that the lanes had reopened after they had been shut down shortly before 9 a.m.

Dispatchers said one person was taken to the hospital, according to WTAE, TribLive’s news partner. One person was ejected from a vehicle.
