Pittsburgh’s SWAT team responded to a domestic dispute in the city’s Perry South neighborhood early Thursday, officials said.
Officials responded to the 2600 block of Norwood Avenue where shots were fired around 5 a.m., said Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz.
Cruz said first responders met a man outside the home who told officers another man inside had shot at him. A woman involved in the dispute then came outside and told officers five people were inside the house, including a baby. SWAT officers on scene believed a possible hostage situation was underway, Cruz said.
The remaining people in the home surrendered without incident after negotiations, officials said. No injuries were reported.
Police are investigating.
