Arrest made in fatal Lincoln-Lemington shooting

Pittsburgh police on Wednesday said they arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood last year.

Police arrested Ronrie Lloyd, 33, who is charged with criminal homicide. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

Police said Lloyd was arrested in connection to a November 2023 shooting on Everton Street. Jamair Coachman, 18, of Penn Hills was shot in the back and died of his injuries a few months later.


1 injured in Beaver County crash

One person was taken to the hospital following a crash Wednesday night in Center Township, Beaver County.

TribLive news partner WTAE reported that officials were called to the 1000 block of Monaca Road for a vehicle crash just after 7 p.m. The vehicle had also caught on fire.

It was unclear what caused the crash.


About 40 bus routes to be detoured for Light Up Night

Around 40 Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus routes will be detoured Saturday during Downtown Pittsburgh’s annual Light Up Night.

The 13-Bellevue, 16-Brighton and 17-Shadeland routes will be detoured from noon till the end of service Friday while crews set up for the event.

Those routes, plus 10 more — 20-Kennedy, 21-Coraopolis, 22-McCoy, 24-West Park, 26-Chartiers, 27-Fairywood, 29-Robinson, 31-Bridgeville, 36-Banksville and 38 Green Tree — will be detoured until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, the routes that had already been detoured will switch to new detours. An additional 26 routes also will be rerouted Saturday from 4 p.m. through the rest of the evening. That includes 1-Freeport Road, 2-Mount Royal, 4-Troy Hill, 6-Spring Hill, 8-Perrysville, 11-Fineview, 12-McKnight, 15-Charles, 28X-Airport Flyer, 56-Lincoln Place, 57-Hazelwood, 58-Greenfield, 61A-North Braddock, 61B-Braddock-Swissvale, 61C-McKeesport-Homestead, 67-Monroeville, 71B-Highland Park, 77-Penn Hills, 81-Oak Hill, 82-Lincoln, 83-Bedford Hill, 86-Liberty, 87-Frienfship, 88-Penn, 91-Butler Street and G2-West Busway.

Some routes will end on the East Busway after 4 p.m. Pittsburgh Regional Transit authorities are urging riders to take advantage of free transfers at Penn Station.

Most other routes also will pick up riders at Smithfield Street.

Signs will be posted at bus stops.
