A 23-year-old man was found Sunday afternoon on Pittsburgh’s North Side with a gunshot wound to the head.

Pittsburgh police said officers responded just before 1:15 p.m. to the 600 block of Chautauqua Street for reports of a man unresponsive inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.

Medics transported the man in critical condition to Allegheny General Hospital, where he later died. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Rasul Abdullah Aquil Jr., 23, of Pittsburgh.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said no descriptions of a suspect in the shooting have been released.
