A man drove himself to a Pittsburgh police station Sunday night after being shot in the chest in the Bedford Dwellings neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh police.

Police received a report of four shots being fired in the 2500 block of Chauncey Drive around 7:45 p.m.

While officers from the Zone 2 station were heading there, the man with a single gunshot wound to his chest arrived at their station, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The suspect is believed to have fled the scene on Chauncey Drive in a vehicle. License plate readers last saw it heading north toward the McKees Rocks area, police said.

Detectives were still investigating.
