Hampton Township is getting ready for spooky season by holding multiple events both in person and online.
The Hampton Halloween Parade will be back on and in person with a costume contest. This event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Hampton Community Park. Children ages 10 and under can register for the parade and costume contest.
Along with the parade and contest, a hayride is set through the Upper Orchard which will be decorated with skeletons, witches and more. Fire, police and EMS will be onsite with their vehicles to meet the children. A DJ and balloon twisting will bring the festive atmosphere to life.
A pumpkin-carving contest is being held in township. Pumpkins must be real and once carved can be dropped off outside the community center no later than 2 p.m. Oct. 20. Judging will be held on Oct. 22, with prizes being awarded for first-, second- and third-place finishers. The first-place prize is a 2022 Family Pool Membership.
Lastly, an online Dog Costume Contest is being held on the township website. Entries can be submitted online until Oct. 22. All entries will be posted on the site and anyone can vote for their favorites through Oct. 28, with winners to be announced Oct. 29.
