The gun found near a triple shooting in Kennywood Park was stolen from a vehicle in Columbus, Ohio about a year ago, Allegheny County police said Monday.
Police have not yet identified a suspect in Saturday night shootings, but they said a trace of the firearm recovered near the scene revealed it had been stolen in August 2021. Police as of Monday afternoon had not yet confirmed whether the found gun was used in the shootings.
A 39-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot in the leg, and another 15-year-old boy suffered a grazing wound to the leg in front of the Music Express ride around 10:50 p.m. during an altercation between the groups of juveniles, police said.
Both injured teenagers are in stable condition in local hospitals. The adult man was treated and released from another hospital.
Allegheny County police on Monday said there is no evidence linking the victims to the altercation.

“Detectives are continuing a lengthy review of video evidence and are following up on numerous tip line calls that have been received,” police said in a news release.
Saturday was the first night of Kennywood’s annual Phantom Fall Fest. The event was canceled Sunday, but the park said it plans to reopen Friday.
Police said the shooter is described as a Black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored medical mask.
Kennywood officials declined to comment Monday.
