Bald eagles nesting near U.S. Steel’s Irvin Works welcomed a new addition to the nest, a U.S. Steel spokesman announced Thursday.

The egg hatched late Wednesday after weeks of care. The egg was laid in late February.

The eaglet was named USS6, since it was the sixth one hatched by eagles Irvin and Claire since 2020.

Video of the eaglet can be found here.
