Santa visited Hampton a little early this year — in the form of a resident named Al Todd.

Todd has organized Al’s Bike Drive for several years.

On Thursday, Todd conducted a caravan of 200 bikes down Route 8 from Wal Mart to the Wildwood Country Club.

The bikes will be donated to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program through an annual fundraiser by Todd and several volunteers.

“We have raised a ton of money,” Todd said in a Facebook post. “Thank you so much for your generous donations.”

He said the drive fell short of his goal this year but only because of supply chain glitches that are plaguing the country.

“Many of the bikes we ordered are still on cargo ships off the west coast,” he said.

Still, the fundraiser doled out 200 bikes to local children and Todd said his group plans to donate $10,000 to three Toys for Tots programs across western Pennsylvania.
