Allegheny County Police are investigating the death of a man and woman found Tuesday in Homestead.

Police were called to the 100 block of West 15th Avenue shortly after 4 p.m., responding to a report of shots fired. They received no response when hailing residents at the home, and a SWAT team was called in, as police believed a suspect was inside.

SWAT officers entered and discovered the man and woman, who were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified early Tuesday morning as Antoinette Porterfield, 45, and John West, 54.

Reports from the Allegheny County Office of the Coroner list the cause of the death for both as “shot by assailant(s) inside residence.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
