Members of the Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary gathered Dec. 3 at the Unity home of Ann Albanesi for their annual holiday auction and cocktail party.

Guests arrived with arms full of items for the auction and children’s books for Books for Babies, a program that provides a book for siblings of newborns in at the hospital’s Family Additions Maternity Center.

Event chairs were Darlene Delaini, Renee Frye and Joan Stairs.

The Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary supports Excela Health in its daily mission of “improving the health and well-being of every life we touch.”

In practical terms, that includes granting scholarships to area students entering medical school. Its activities include producing an annual dollhouse and miniature show and running the hospital’s well-stocked Hospitality Shop, which this year marked 70 years in business.
