It was last call for holiday gift shopping Dec. 19 in the Greensburg Art Center.

The center offered a discount on items remaining in The Art of GIFTing, the center’s annual show and sale of artwork, artisanal home wares and accessories perfect for wrapping up and tucking under the tree.

It was more like a party than a sale, with live music — from carols to the blues — performed by Mary Ellen Raneri, Phil Raneri, Cheryl Cochran and Richie Haynes.

The table of holiday goodies included Rose Sovyak’s luscious carrot cake, made from her great-grandmother’s recipe.

On a frigid night, artist Cathy Rosensteel reminded guests that warm weather will come again by painting vibrant summer flowers as the band played.

Although sales totals have yet to be tallied, center member Pat Majcher said the 2019 sale was “tremendous. We sold a lot of things.”

Also seen: Sue Pollins, Dave and Jackie Moreno, Doris Wood, Marian Brahosky and Suzanne Evancho.
