The 2020 Western PA Local Food Guide, a directory of farmers markets, restaurants, wineries, retail stores and other businesses that produce or support local food in the region, will be available before the new year.

Orders can be placed for free delivery by visiting constantcontact.com. It also can be downloaded from the website, with the 2019 version available at farmtotablepa.com/local-food-guide/.

According to Erin Hart, Farm to Table Western PA director, the guide includes listings of community supported agriculture sites, you-pick farms, farms, farmers markets, farm markets and some grocers and food producers that utilize local products.

“We are lucky in Western Pennsylvania to have so many small farms growing amazing food,” she says in an email.

Lunch and Learn events will be held at 10 to 15 sites in the region’s 30 counties, where distribution of the guides comes with a networking lunch.

“They are open to the public and farms, customers, food and beverage producers attend to network,” Hart says.
