Rock music and rock painting are part of Saturday’s features at Ligonier Country Market.

The local acoustic band Super Moon will perform a blend of rock and bluegrass, market planners say.

The trio’s material spans Neil Young to Bill Monroe, and ranges from jazzy instrumentals to bluegrass three-part harmony. Instrumentation ranges from guitars and bass to mandolin and octave mandolin.

Market visitors can enjoy the band’s takes on old favorites and songs they may never have heard before.

Also on Saturday, Ligonier Valley Learning Center, with locations in Ligonier and Latrobe offering a PreK Counts program for children ages 3 and 4, will have representation at the market. Qualifying families can receive full-time preschool at no charge.

The center’s table will offer a children’s craft and information.

Market Sprouts can join Daisy Mae and Lilly Lavender at the Children’s Garden for a rock-painting project.
