Helltown Taproom will ponder the unexplained with local paranormal investigator Stan Gordon and hold an early release party for its new beer with a two-night event this month at its 5578 Old William Penn Highway, Export, location.
The event is billed as “Kecksburg and Beyond: Two Nights of Paranormal Pa. with Stan Gordon,” and a “Kecksburg-inspired beer.”
Gordon will give a two-part presentation each night, with “What We Know About the Kecksburg UFO” on July 17 and “Strange Encounters of PA” on July 18, according to the brewery’s Facebook page.
Gordon has long researched the alleged 1965 crash landing of a UFO near Kecksburg. He has produced a UFO video documentary, “Kecksburg The Untold Story,” and written three books, “Silent Invasion: The Pennsylvania UFO-Bigfoot Casebook,” “Really Mysterious Pennsylvania” and “Astonishing Encounters: Pennsylvania’s Unknown Creatures.”
He also will provide updated reports on a “surge of Bigfoot and UFO incidents” in western Pennsylvania, and hold a book- and DVD-signing, according to the taproom’s site.
Tickets are $25 each night and include a pint of the Kecksburg-themed beer, described as Vienna Lager at 5.5% ABV. Those attending can try the new brew before its public release at the Kecksburg VFD UFO Festival on July 26-28.
