Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s newest dining experience, Barattolo, offers guests the chance to savor the flavors of Italy at the Farmington, Fayette County, resort.

The restaurant opened May 15, with a grand opening planned for Memorial Day weekend, a resort spokeswoman says.

The new restaurant is located in the former Caddyshack, and retains its roots rendering to the word “caddy” in Italian.

Chef Richard Eckersberg will lead the kitchen in sourcing local ingredients. Diners can enjoy woodfired pizzas accompanied by a selection from the Italian wine list. Brews include domestic, craft and imported.

Pastas are homemade and paired with sauces created in-house.

Menu options include antipasti, pasta, pizza, meat and fish, along with a selection of desserts. Diners are invited to polish off their meals with a house-made Limoncello.
