Thousands of people attended Pittsburgh’s Labor Day parade Monday morning.

The annual event featured hundreds of labor organizations and a visit by Gov. Josh Shapiro, Pa. Secretary of Labor & Industry Nancy A. Walker and Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su.

“It’s important people understand our work ethic. Everything means something to us here, our skills, everybody wants to be here, from elected officials down to people who work in these organizations,” Steve Mazza, chairman of the Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade, told Trib news partner WTAE.
