Roger Waters is set to kick off his North American “This Is Not a Drill” tour in Pittsburgh.

The show is scheduled for July 8 in PPG Paints Arena.

“It’ll be a new show. It will be no-holds-barred,” Waters told Rolling Stone in September. “My work is to think, ‘Well, how can I make rock and roll more interesting or theatrical or exciting or visual or musical or whatever?’ That’s what I’ve spent the last 50 years doing, expressing myself.”

The British rock musician, singer-songwriter and composer is best known for his many years as Pink Floyd’s bass player, co-lead vocalist, lyricist and principal songwriter. Among the band’s well-known music songs are “Another Brick in the Wall,” “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb.”

The band’s 1975 album “The Dark Side of the Moon” still holds the record for most weeks spend on Billboard’s album charts at 949 — more than 18 years.

Waters released his first solo album in 25 years, “Is This The Life We Really Want?” in 2017.

Pre-sale tickets for the 31-city tour will be available from 10 a.m. Jan. 29 through 10 p.m. Jan. 30. General public sale begins at 10 a.m. Jan. 31.
