Friday marked the release of Sabrina Carpenter’s new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which includes her famous single “Espresso” alongside 11 other tunes.

Though Carpenter, 25, released her first album in 2015, “Eyes Wide Open,” she skyrocketed in popularity with the release of “Espresso” in April, which many in the music industry are dubbing the “song of the summer.”

Carpenter, a former Disney Channel star, was born in Quakertown, Pa., and grew up in East Greenville, south of Allentown, where she was homeschooled, according to J-14. The “Girl Meets World” star moved to California when she was 13 years old, J-14 said.

“Espresso” was followed by another single in June, “Please Please Please,” which was also praised on social media leading up to the album’s release.

Social media users who have been Carpenter fans from the beginning spoke out on X about her newfound fame.

Other users have been speculating about who the 12 tracks could be about.

Fans discussed their favorite moments from the album, which included the release of a new music video for the song “Taste,” starring Jenna Ortega.
