More than 20 years ago Matchbox Twenty burst onto the music scene with hits including “If You’re Gone,” “Bent” and “3 A.M.”

The band is touring for the first time since 2017.

The tour will begin July 17 in Bethlehem, Pa., and come to Burgettstown’s S&T Bank Music Park on Aug. 26.

Special tour guest will be The Wallflowers, fronted by Jakob Dylan and known for songs such as “One Headlight” and “6th Avenue Heartache.”

“I’m proud to be a part of the greatest pop rock band in the world and I can’t wait to play with them again. Stepping on stage with Matchbox and sharing those songs with the fans feels as natural as breathing to me at this point,” says lead singer Rob Thomas.

Additional band members include Kyle Cook, Paul Doucette and Brian Yale.

The group has sold over 40 million records, including multiple chart-topping singles, and numerous awards and nominations.

Thomas also has had a solo career, selling over 80 million records, collaborating with Santana, Mick Jagger and Willie Nelson and winning three Grammy awards.

Tour club presale tickets for the Live Nation concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 14, with Citi Cardmember presale at 10 a.m. Jan. 15 and public sale beginning at noon Jan. 17.
