Maroon 5 has become the latest big name music act to require that fans be vaccinated to attend their concerts.
The requirement will be in effect for the group’s appearance at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown on Aug. 25.
The band announced that in order to enter the venue, all attendees must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against covid-19. The final dose must be administered two weeks prior to the concert.
They must provide either the original vaccination card or a printed copy of the vaccination card or have received a negative covid-19 diagnostic test within 72-hours before entry to the facility.

Stage AE announced this week it will require proof of a covid-19 vaccination for all concertgoers and event staff starting with the Modest Mouse concert on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
However, with a recent spike in covid infections and hospitalizations, Maroon 5 decided not to wait on those who run The Pavilion at Star Lake, and other venues they’re scheduled to play, to institute a vaccine policy.
“We want you to know that our top priority is the safety and well-being of our fans as well as that of the hard-working men and women who make these events possible,” said Maroon 5 on Twitter. “To that end, we want to convey our support of recent news around shows starting to require additional protocols for entry.”
Other groups requiring fans to get vaccinated to attend their shows include Phish; The Killers; Foo Fighters; Dead and Co., featuring John Mayer; and Jason Isbell and his band 400 Unit, among others.
