The famous, flowing dress worn by Princess Diana on her wedding day will be featured in an upcoming royal style exhibition, the Historic Royal Palaces organization announced.

Diana’s dress, with its 25-foot train, is part of the “Royal Style in the Making” display that will be opening at Kensington Palace on June 3.

It was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel for Diana’s 1981 wedding to Prince Charles.

The new clothing exhibition will highlight items designed for and worn by three generations of royal women, the group said in its announcement.

“While one of the highlights will undoubtedly be Diana, Princess of Wales’s showstopping Emanuel designed wedding dress — which goes on show at the palace for the first time in 25 years — we’ve got some real surprises up our sleeve for fashion fans!” exhibition curator Matthew Storey said in a statement.

Other items set to be featured include a toile for the coronation gown of Queen Elizabeth, the mother of Queen Elizabeth II, from 1937.

“We’ll be exploring how the partnership between each designer and client worked, and revealing the process behind the creation of a number of the most important couture commissions in royal history,” Storey said.
