Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Billy!

Pittsburgh’s own Billy Porter — he of Tony and Emmy fame, as well as a cameo on the latest “Saturday Night Live” — is set to play his flashiest role yet.

Various outlets are reporting the 50-year-old actor confirmed over the weekend he will play the Fairy Godmother in Sony’s live-action version of the Cinderella story. Porter spilled the beans Saturday during a panel at the 20th New Yorker Festival.

But this ain’t no Disney classic, it’s a reimagining of the tale from James Cordon. According to sources, including Entertainment Weekly, Camila Cabello will play the title role in what will be her movie acting debut. The rumor mill also has it that Idina Menzel is in talks to play the evil stepmother.

“The Late Late Show” host is producing the movie, with “Pitch Perfect” writer Kay Cannon penning the script.

Details about the movie’s plot remain scant, but People reports the story is a modern take on the folk tale.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of the project, saying that Cabello is going to be involved in the movie’s soundtrack.

In case you missed Porter on “Saturday Night Live,” it’s worth checking out.
