Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have become the latest victims in an uptick of Hollywood home invasions. The couple’s luxury estate was burglarized while they were out of town.

According to TMZ, the robbers got access to the home by smashing in the glass to their guest house. However, the perpetrators were unable to get into the main home.

The incident took place during the day. Though an alarm was triggered when the burglars shattered the glass to get inside, the thieves still spent time in the guest house. What was stolen and the value of loss resulting from the break-in was not clear Tuesday.

It is unlikely this robbery was targeted, according to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ. It’s more likely another in a string of burglaries that have been happening in the area.

Marlon Wayans dealt with a similar situation last month when two thieves hit his home while his brother, Keenan Ivory Wayans, was inside sleeping. The thieves also shattered glass to enter the home and stole several thousand dollars in cash.

Other celebrities with similar stories are Sarah Hyland, who actually saw men in masks leaving her house on security cameras, and Bhad Bahbie, who had several valuable items stolen such as handbags and jewelry.

As for Hanks and Wilson, there are no arrests and the case remains under investigation.
