Gabby Barrett got hitched this weekend to her “American Idol” sweetheart, Cade Foehner.

According to People, Barrett and Foehner said “I do” in Garrison, Texas, on Saturday in front of 100 guests at wedding and event venue Union Springs.

Barrett, from Munhall, and Foehner, 23, of Shelbyville, Texas, met on season 16 of “American Idol” where Barrett finished in the top three, while Foehner was eliminated in the Top 5 round.

The couple announced their engagement in March.

Barrett sings about her love of her beau, comparing him to Pittsburgh’s Allegheny River, in her song, “The Good Ones,” released in July.

“He’s solid and he’s steady like the Allegheny runs, he knows just where he’s going and he’s proud of where he’s from,” she sings near the beginning of the song that she co-wrote.

“When people ask me about Cade, I always end up saying, ‘He’s great, he’s a keeper, he’s a good one,’” Barrett, 19, said in an interview from the summer. “That’s where the song came from — appreciating what I’ve got and what he means to me.”

People, which posted wedding photos of the couple, reported that they decided on their venue because of their love of Texas and the woods.

Other details from People include: a friend of the couple, Jeremy Vuolo, married them. They wrote their own vows, and Barrett anticipated they both “absolutely” would cry during the ceremony.

The magazine reported that Barrett and Foehner picked the 1959 instrumental song “Sleep Walk” by Santo and Johnny Farina for their first dance as a married couple; Mexican food (Foehner’s favorite) and American food (Barrett’s favorite) were served; and “And, of course, lots of cake!” said Barrett.

Barrett was in Pittsburgh last month performing at Highmark Stadium at Station Square on Toby Keith’s That’s Country Bro! Tour.
