The Pitt football team will have to plan for life without its top two wide receivers next season.

Leading pass catcher Poppi Williams exhausted his eligibility and second-leading receiver Kenny Johnson plans to enter the transfer portal, according a report from CBS Sports.

Johnson, a junior from Dallastown, caught 48 passes for 695 yards and five touchdowns this season. He was the ACC Receiver of the Week for Week 9 after he caught seven passes for 112 yards and a score against N.C. State.

He had 109 catches for 1,354 yards and nine touchdowns as a starter the past three seasons. He also was a reliable kick and punt returner with three returns for touchdowns.

Williams led the team with 51 catches for 701 yards and seven scores. He had five catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in a 23-17 loss to East Carolina in the Military Bowl on Saturday.

The transfer portal opens Friday.
