On the fourth day of searching, emergency officials continue to search for the body of Cory Dominic Cook.

Darrick Gerano, executive director of Murrysville Medic One, said Tuesday morning that the search is ongoing. Manor Township police had reported Monday evening that Cook had been found.

Crews are searching for him along the Allegheny River around Manor in Armstrong County.

Cook, 31, of Avonmore, was last seen Thursday. He was said to be suffering from paranoid delusions and hallucinations.

Authorities began the search Saturday and continued it Sunday and Monday, focusing their efforts along the Allegheny River between Water Street and Kittanning’s sewage treatment plant.

Cook’s rental car had been found abandoned near the Judge J. Frank Graff Bridge, which connects Manor Township and North Buffalo via routes 28 and 422.

Multiple emergency agencies are involved in the river search.

A specialized recovery team took over operations Monday evening. The nearby Armstrong Trail is closed while those operations are taking place, police said.

The multi-day search for Cook involves scent dogs, search teams, side-scan sonar and rescue divers.
