Pirates farm report for April 18, 2025: Matt Gorski delivers walk-off double for Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 8-8) defeated Toledo (Tigers), 5-4, on a walk-off RBI double by LF Matt Gorski (.268) in the bottom of the 11th. Gorski went 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBIs. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.222) went 3 for 4 with a stolen base. 2B Nick Yorke (.200) went 1 for 4 with a double, run scored and stolen base. RF Nick Solak (.333) and DH DJ Stewart (.125) each had a single and an RBI. RHP Mike Burrows (4.30) started and allowed three runs on three hits, including two homers, and three walks in 4 ⅓ innings. He fanned four. RHP Yohan Ramirez (6.75) pitched 1 ⅔ scoreless innings and RHP Isaac Mattson (2.35) and RHP Ryder Ryan (2-0, 3.24) each threw two scoreless frames.

Next: Saturday vs. Toledo (Tigers), 6:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 5-8) was demolished by Somerset (Yankees), 12-1. RHP Derek Diamond (22.74) started and was tagged for five runs on seven hits and a walk in 2⅔ innings. RHP JC Flowers (32.40) gave up six runs on five hits and two walks in 1⅔ innings. The Curve managed three hits. 3B Jack Brannigan (.244), 1B Brenden Dixon (.225) and SS Mike Jarvis (.222) hit singles.

Next: Saturday vs. Somerset (Yankees), 4 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 9-4) beat Jersey Shore (Phillies), 10-9, on a walk-off RBI single by DH Javier Rivas (.404). Rivas went 5 for 6 with a grand slam and five RBIs. CF Lonnie White Jr. (.243) went 3 for 5 with a double and a two-run homer, his first, and his seventh stolen base. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.372) went 1 for 4 with his third homer. 2B Maikol Escotto (.538) went 3 for 5 with two stolen bases and two runs scored. PH Duce Gourson (.294) doubled and stole his 10th base. RHP Khristian Curtis (19.06) started and was saddled with seven runs, two earned, one four hits and two walks in two innings. RHP Jaycob Deese (1-0, 5.40) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to earn the win.

Next: Saturday at Jersey Shore (Phillies), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 5-8) took care of Fort Myers (Twins), 6-1. RHP Matt Ager (0.00) started and pitched three no-hit innings, walking two and striking out three. LHP Victor Cabrera (1-0, 2.79) followed with four more no-hit innings, walking one and fanning four. LHP Hunter Furtado (4.05) worked the final two innings and gave up a solo home run. 1B Derek Berg (.269) went 3 for 4 wth his first homer and two runs scored. 2B Carlos Caro (.257) went 3 for 4 with an RBI, run scored and his second stolen base.
