The Scottdale Concert Band is seeking new members as it prepares to start rehearsals for the 2025 concert season.

The nonprofit group is under the direction of Roderick Booker and assistant directors Frederick Collins and Lee Matchett. Rehearsals will begin at 7 p.m. March 4 in the band room at Southmoreland Elementary School, 100 Scottie Way in Scottdale.

New members are not required to audition, but must be at least 18 years old unless a parent or guardian attends rehearsals and performances, and must be proficient on your instrument at a high school level or above.

The band has been in existence for more than four decades, and plays concerts throughout Westmoreland County at churches, community festivals and more.
