An Irwin man is behind bars without bail in connection with the reported sexual assault of a teen girl.

Jason Cush, 43, is charged with rape and related offenses. Westmoreland County detectives said in court papers that the girl reported being sexually assaulted by Cush for about two years. She provided authorities with her iPad, which police said showed communication between the two.

Two videos were discovered on the device that showed Cush raping the girl, according to court papers.

During police interviews, Cush claimed to have what he described as “conscious blackouts” and did not remember sexually assaulting her. He was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison and did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A July 16 preliminary hearing is set.
