Police investigate overnight shooting in Clairton
Allegheny County Police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition Tuesday night.
County police said they were notified of the shooting just after 10 p.m. First responders were dispatched to the 800 block of Apricot Alley, where they found a man with gunshot wounds.
He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
County detectives are leading the investigation.
Damaging winds, hail threaten Western Pa.
The Western Pennsylvania region has been issued a warning of potential severe weather Wednesday by the National Weather Service, saying the “slight risk area” has expanded northward.

The NWS said the main threat of today’s storms would be damaging winds, but large hail and tornadoes are possible. Areas at a level two risk include Pittsburgh, Butler, Clarion and Indiana. Oil City has been determined a level one risk area. The storms are predicted to last from 2 to 10 p.m.
TribLive news partner WTAE has also deemed Wednesday to be a Severe Weather Alert Day in the Pittsburgh region.
Meteorologist Ashley Dougherty said the designation was set because of storms that are expected to move into the area starting at 2 p.m. and extending until around 11 p.m.
Dougherty said a chance of flash flooding is one of the biggest threats with the storm system.
The NWS is encouraging people to keep an eye on the latest forecasts to remain aware of potential risks in their area.
