A woman was killed early Saturday in a three-vehicle crash on the West End Bridge, according to Pittsburgh police.

She was dead when medics arrived at the scene, according to a news release from a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson.

The release did not give the victim’s age or any other identifying information.

Three other people in the same vehicle had various injuries and were transported to a hospital.

No one from the other two vehicles was taken to a hospital.

Police said the crash occurred at 2:35 a.m. Saturday morning.

An SUV was traveling northbound from Route 51 when it hit a vehicle traveling on West Carson Street, according to the initial investigation. The SUV then hit another vehicle traveling southbound on the bridge.

The bridge was closed for a time but has since reopened.
