Pitt continued to add potential playmakers to new coordinator Kade Bell’s offense Sunday when coach Pat Narduzzi secured a verbal commitment from wide receiver Tyreek Robinson of Evangel Christian in Shreveport, La. Robinson announced his decision on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Robinson (5-foot-9, 170 pounds) is unranked among prospects in Rivals.com’s data base, but he fits the profile of Bell’s offensive philosophy of an athlete with a quick burst who could grow into someone who can make plays in space. He caught 55 passes for 885 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, Rivals reported.

Robinson also has scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Southeastern Louisiana and Texas State.

He is the second wide receiver in Pitt’s class of 2024, joining three-star prospect Cameron Monteiro of Brockton, Mass. Pitt also has added wide receiver transfers Censere Lee of Western Carolina and Raphael Williams of San Diego State to a group that includes several holdovers, led by Konata Mumpfield, who will be entering his third season as a starter, and junior Daejon Reynolds.
