Richland supervisors reappointed Ray Kendrick as chair and George “Skip” Allen as vice chair at the Jan. 2 reorganization meeting.
Supervisor Donna Snyder made a motion, which was approved unanimously, to reappoint the following administrative entities and professional staff:
• Northern Regional Police Department of Allegheny County — Kendrick, Snyder and John Marshall, representatives; Ann Miller and Allen, alternates
• Northern Regional Police Pension Trust Committee — Kendrick, representative
• North Hills Council of Governments — Snyder, representative; Miller, alternate
• Allegheny County Association of Township Officials —Allen voting delegate; Snyder, alternate
• Manager/secretary/treasurer — Dean Bastianini
• Assistant manager — Natalie Thiess
• Assistant treasurer — Amy Shane
• Solicitor — GRB Law; Emily Mueller, primary contact
• Special labor counsel — Campbell Durrant PC
• Building code — Official Professional Code Services
• Zoning Officer — Scott Shoup
• Engineer — Shoup Engineering
• Traffic engineer — Trans Associates
• Emergency management coordinator — Joseph Pillart
• Delegates to Allegheny North Tax Collection Committee — Bastianini, Thiess (alternate)
• Bank Depository — PLGIT and Nextier Bank
Snyder further motioned to appoint volunteers to serve on these boards and committees, also receiving unanimous approval:
• Planning commission — Joseph Pillart for a term expiring in 2027
• Zoning hearing board — Margo Jochims for a term expiring in 2026
• Richland Township Water Authority of Allegheny County — Carlton Fogliana for a term expiring in 2028
• Transportation impact fee advisory committee — Tim Gaichas, James McChesney, Joseph Pillart, George Kusevich, Diane Pontoriero, John Pasquinelli for terms expiring in 2024
Supervisors also approved a resolution amending the township’s official fee schedule by reducing the mechanical device application fee from $295 to $230 per machine or apparatus.
