The Yough Helping Hands Foundation held its annual Thanksgiving meal distribution at Yough Senior High School near Herminie on Tuesday, providing about 100 ready-to-heat traditional dinners from Rodney’s Restaurant accompanied by locally made pies and cookies.

This is the third year that the foundation — an independent charity dedicated to supporting families and students in the Yough community — has distributed the meals, which each feed up to six people.

The foundation consists of past and present school board members, business and community leaders and school personnel.

In addition to the meals, the foundation has hosted a senior citizen spaghetti dinner, awarded $3,000 in scholarships to students, and provided support to community members in need.
