Minor league report: Nailers dropped by Steelheads

Forward Matthew Quercia scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers in a 7-4 home loss to the Idaho Steelheads at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Sunday.

Goaltender David Tendeck made 18 saves on 23 shots in the defeat as his record fell to 2-2-0 while forward Felix Pare contributed two assists for Wheeling (5-3-0-0). Forwards Raivis Ansons and Tanner Laderoute also scored goals for the hosts.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Toledo Walleye on Wednesday, 10:35 a.m.
