Bushy Run’s final market day of the season will coincide with its fall nature walk Saturday
The Bushy Run Market, open from 8 a.m. to noon, is held outdoors near the museum on the fourth Saturday of each month from April to September. The market typically features eight to 15 local vendors and requires no admission cost, said Bushy Run Museum Manager Matt Adams.
The concession stand will offer some food options, as well as free tea and coffee. Visitors should bring cash to the event in case a vendor cannot accept card payments, Adams said.

Following the spring nature walk held in April, the fall nature walk lands on the first day of fall, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. It will be led by herbalist and Bushy Run volunteer Lindsey Pratski of Compass Rose Herbals.
Walkers will explore plant life at Bushy Run as fall foliage slowly begins to appear. Modern and historical uses for plants in Western Pennsylvania will also be discussed.
No pre-registration is required for the walk. Attendees can bring $5 for admission to the event. They are encouraged to wear good shoes and dress for the weather.
