Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a two-story commercial building late Tuesday morning in Jefferson Hills.

The fire broke out just before 11 a.m. at Banana Peppers pizza shop on Gill Hall Road, Tribune-Review news partner WTAE-TV reported.

No injuries were reported. Lt. Joe Kerr of Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue told WTAE deteriorating conditions forced crews to pull back from an interior attack on the fire.

The 800 block of Gill Hall Road was closed down as crews battled the blaze, officials said.

Police issued an alert on social media Tuesday morning asking people to avoid the area.
