Pittsburgh native Erin Sheedy competed Tuesday on the episode of “Jeopardy!” and though she didn’t win, she clearly had fun, especially with the hometown shout-out in her Final Jeopardy! response.

Sheedy, a 2018 Oakland Catholic High School grad who grew up in Thornburg, missed very few questions, but she was slow on the buzzer relative to her competitors.

Sheedy’s 84-year-old grandmother, who traveled from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles for the “Jeopardy!” taping with Sheedy’s mom, made a brief appearance in the studio audience.

Host Ken Jennings mentioned Sheedy’s Pittsburgh ties early in the episode and then Sheedy paid tribute to her hometown with her Final Jeopardy! response. The clue was, “A city of about 2.5 million people, since 1984 for political reasons it has been in the name of an Olympic team.”

Sheedy, who didn’t wager any money, wrote down, “What is Pittsburgh?”

“Ya gotta represent,” Jennings said. “Which Olympic team do you think has Pittsburgh in its name?”

“All the good ones,” Sheedy replied without hesitation.

The correct response was “What is Taipei?”

Kept/canceled

Food Network renewed “Summer Baking Championship,” recently won by Pittsburgher Zoe Peckich, for a second season.

Netflix’s “Sex Education” will end with its fourth season, premiering Sept. 21.

HBO canceled “A Black Lady Sketch Show” after four seasons.
