Police investigate suspicious death of Mt. Lebanon man

Allegheny County police said they are investigating a suspicious death in Mt. Lebanon.

At 2:58 p.m. Saturday, Mt. Lebanon Police responded to the 200 block of Academy Avenue for reports of a dead man whose body had been discovered by a family member. Police said they found trauma to the victim’s body and circumstances that indicated they needed assistance from the homicide unit.

County police detectives said one of the doors to the man’s home was unlocked.

The medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Regis Bonner, 86. The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death.
