Pittsburgh police said a man told them he was lured to a Beechview home and shot early Wednesday.

Officers in Zone 6 responded about 1 a.m. to the 1500 block of Belasco Avenue after multiple calls came in for shots fired. At the scene, police said they found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Authorities said the man, whose name has not been released, told police that after being coaxed to the home, those there struck him with a firearm, attempted to rob him and fired several shots.

The man told police he had run to Belasco Avenue to find help after being shot, officers said.

Police said Nyzjayah Majors, 20, of Beechview and James Phillips, 16, of Highland Park were arrested. Both are charged with aggravated assault and other charges. Phillips was arrested under ACT 33 and charged as an adult.

The police said they are investigating.
