Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr., the son of former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter, was named second-team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) on Wednesday.

It is Porter’s fourth All-American honor after he was selected second-team by Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

A first-team All-Big Ten choice who started 30 games in his Nittany Lions career, Porter is the 17th Penn State All-American to play for coach James Franklin.

Porter joins Penn State teammates offensive tackle Olu Fashanu and cornerback Kalen King as All-Americans. They were named second team by Walter Camp.
