Allegheny County Police detectives filed additional charges Tuesday night against Eric Fairman, a local teacher and youth sports coach first charged last week in connection with sexual assaults of several children ranging in age from 10 to 12.

The new charges involve three more children who have come forward with details on five newly identified incidents over the past several years, according to a release from Allegheny County Police.

Fairman, 26, of Pleasant Hills, is being held in the Allegheny County Jail and is awaiting a preliminary hearing. Jefferson Hills police are working with county police to investigate the allegations against Fairman.

The Jefferson Hills Police Department and county police detectives have notified all of Fairman’s known employers that involved contact with children.
