Kevin Conroy will lead the Pitt-Greensburg women’s volleyball program into the future.

The position was opened in the offseason after it became full time and, after an extensive search, UPG found its man.

A Flint, Mich., native, Conroy has been the girls head volleyball coach at Potomac State High School in Dumfries, Va. for the past six years.

He also has coached the Manassas Volleyball Club and Core VA Volleyball to national tournaments.

He called his new job a “tremendous opportunity.”

“I am excited to help each student-athlete achieve their goals on and off the volleyball court as well as taking on the challenge of continuing to grow Pitt-Greensburg volleyball into a program of excellence,” Conroy said.

UPG went 3-22 last season, including a 2-6 mark in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Conroy, a Michigan-Dearborn grad, plans to move his family from Virginia, where they have lived for 20 years, to the Greensburg area.
